The brief
An exposed entertaining terrace with sea and mountain views, built to handle everything the Atlantic seaboard throws at it.
The challenge
Constant salt spray and strong southeasters meant standard fixings and softwoods would have failed within a few seasons.
Our approach
We specified thermally treated timber and marine-grade stainless throughout, with a ventilated substructure and built-in seating anchored against wind uplift.
The outcome
A terrace that has become the heart of the home — durable, low-maintenance and built for long evenings above the sea.
