The brief
A wraparound hardwood deck framing a new infinity pool on a mature Constantia estate, designed to sit quietly within the established garden.
The challenge
The site fell away sharply toward the pool, and the client wanted a flush, continuous surface with no visible fixings and zero standing water.
Our approach
We built an engineered substructure on adjustable pedestals to level the fall, ran concealed clip fixings throughout, and detailed the coping so water sheds cleanly away from the house.
The outcome
A seamless deck that reads as one warm plane from the living room to the water — and a surround that stays dry and slip-aware all summer.
